Vinous Neal Martin - 05 Jan 23
The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis Faconnières 1er Cru includes 70% whole bunches. Now this has a wonderful, complex bouquet, with shimmering red berry fruit, heightened mineralité, traces of Earl Grey and fresh tobacco leaf percolating through with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced with fine grain tannins, nuanced and intellectual, succinctly focused on the persistent finish. Bon vin!

Morey-Saint-Denis Fine Wine

Morey-Saint-Denis

Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is known for its elegant, well-structured Pinot Noir wines that balance the power of Gevrey-Chambertin and the finesse of Chambolle-Musigny. These wines feature flavours of red and black fruits, earthy spices, and floral notes, with refined tannins and excellent ageing potential. Home to five Grand Cru vineyards, including Clos de Tart and Clos Saint-Denis, top producers like Domaine Dujac, Domaine Ponsot, and Domaine des Lambrays are celebrated for their traditional winemaking and expressive wines.
